The Adventures of Peter SP!

Adam Watson has just completed this lovely spot to promote the ‘final call for entries’ to the 10th Rushes Soho Shorts Festival.
Adam keeps busy as a Flame Artist at Rushes, but is always trying to find time to explore his own projects. He has completed a series of shorts, animations and time lapse photography projects over the last year, this being his latest work utilising the time lapse/stop motion technique. Shot as digital stills over 2 weekends, we see the main character, Peter SP, rushing through London on his way to become an entry in the festival. Editing, colour grading and compositing was then completed in Flame. ‘It was nice to work straight out of the camera for most of the project” comments Adam, “The majority of the projects I work with involve a large amount of time consuming post, this was a step back to keeping things simple.’
The production music was created in association with Tom Linden at Bulb Ideas.
Bulb was born in 2007 inspired by James Wilkinson and Tom Linden who met in 2001 whilst training in record production and sound engineering at London’s School of Audio Engineering. Thankfully Tom was available to assist on the project fresh from their latest successes which include remixes for a Bailey’s Worldwide commercial with idents for Desperate Housewives (BBH), a Firetrap commercial for UK Theatrical and Domestic release (BDP Media Group) and a rerecord of the Mr. Men theme (BBH’s new Persil campaign).
The hope is to follow Peter SP’s journey through the festival, with two further spot’s being planned to announce the shortlisted entries at the end of June and the finalists/ winners of the festival at the end of July, The question on everyone’s lips…..
Will Peter SP make the grade and is he a winner???? (yeh we know it's cheeeessssyy)
We're closing our Call For Entries on Friday 25th April.
